What tasks should not be outsourced to IT?

Tasks that should not be outsourced to IT are usually the following:

  • ones that require direct access to sensitive information such as customer data or financial records;
  • ones that are related to strategic decisions such as business planning, development of new products and services, market and competitor analysis;
  • ones that are related to personnel management, such as hiring and training employees, evaluation and dismissal of employees;
  • ones that require direct contact with customers, such as handling customer requests and user support;
  • ones that require maximum flexibility and adaptability, as an external provider may not have sufficient understanding of business processes and their features.
